Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care, including medication administration and wound care
- Monitor patient condition and report significant changes to the care team
- Document assessments and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians to deliver coordinated care
- Support patient and family education with clear, patient-centered communication
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and safe patient transfers as needed
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Local candidates only, able to commute to the facility
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team-focused environment
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Foundational clinical skills including vital signs, medication administration, and wound care
- Comfortable with electronic medical records and accurate charting
- Strong observation and documentation skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- Compassionate patient interaction and family communication
