Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, mobility)
- Monitor and record resident vital signs, reporting changes promptly to nursing staff
- Support safe and dignified mealtimes, transfers, and toileting assistance
- Document resident care accurately and timely in facility records
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control and safety protocols
- Build trusting relationships with residents and families through clear, respectful communication
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) credential (VT or NH) — required
- Local only: must have your own transportation and housing
- Availability to work weekends as required by the schedule
- Comfort working in a long-term care/skilled nursing environment and following facility policies
- Background check and required health screenings/immunizations as part of onboarding
Education
- Completion of an approved LNA program or equivalent state-approved training
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong hands-on patient care skills and familiarity with ADLs
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Good observation skills and the ability to report changes in condition
- Teamwork mindset and willingness to assist colleagues during busy times
- Basic documentation and charting practices in a clinical setting
