Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and support the nursing unit by coordinating patient care and supervising nursing staff
• Oversee workflows and staffing to maintain high-quality, patient-centered outcomes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to streamline care plans and transitions
• Coach, mentor, and develop staff to build a resilient, skilled team
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, regulatory standards, and best practices
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and leadership to promote a positive patient experience

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in Maryland (or compact license where applicable)
• Proven experience in a unit management or leadership role (clinical leadership preferred)
• Current BLS certification required; advanced certifications encouraged
• Strong clinical judgment, delegation, and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and drive quality improvements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent leadership and team-building abilities
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Familiarity with care coordination, patient flow, and discharge planning
• Effective communication with staff, patients, and leaders
• Comfort using electronic health records and documentation systems
