Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care following facility protocols
• Perform cardiac monitoring and EKG-related tasks with attention to detail
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate safe, effective care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely
• Maintain compliance with required screenings, immunizations, and credential checks

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in Texas (must be verifiable)
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Successful completion of the VHC EKG Exam or demonstrated EKG competency
• Ability to pass VHC drug screen and required health screenings and immunizations
• Willingness to work per diem/contract travel assignments and maintain professional credentials

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in EKG rhythm recognition and cardiac monitoring basics
• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision making
• Familiarity with ACLS and emergency response protocols
• Accurate clinical documentation and charting practices
• Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced clinical settings
• Comfort with onboarding checks such as license verification and mandatory testing
