Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality abdominal, vascular and OB/GYN ultrasound examinations using established protocols
- Capture diagnostic-quality images and document findings accurately in the patient record
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring daily QC and safe operation
- Provide compassionate, clear communication to patients before, during and after exams
- Work independently to manage patient flow, time priorities and exam completion
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to support timely patient care
- Maintain compliance with ARDMS standards, facility policies and infection-control practices
Qualifications
- Double ARDMS registries: General AB (Abdominal), Vascular, and OB/GYN (as required)
- Current ARDMS certification(s) in listed specialties
- Proven ability to work independently and manage a variable schedule
- Prior sonography experience in abdominal, vascular and OB/GYN imaging (as applicable)
- Strong communication skills and professional bedside manner
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of ultrasound physics, anatomy and sonographic techniques
- Proficiency with ultrasound equipment operation and quality control
- Comfortable performing a wide range of scans: ABD, vascular, OB/GYN
- Familiarity with electronic health records and imaging documentation
- Excellent patient positioning, time management and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety, infection control and professional standards
