Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care with compassion and attention to detail
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document per facility policy
- Perform focused assessments and promptly report changes in patient status
- Assist with care planning and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team
- Maintain accurate, timely nursing documentation and handoffs
- Support patient and family education, helping them understand care plans
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain one prior to start
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or ability to obtain
- Comfortable working 12.5-hour day shifts on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a care team
- Local to Albuquerque or able to reliably commute to the facility (local only role)
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program; LPN diploma or certificate required
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and accurate dose documentation
- Patient assessment and basic clinical decision making
- Wound care, vital signs, and basic IV/line awareness as applicable
- Electronic health record documentation and charting
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
- Compassionate patient and family communication
