Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents and patients during night shifts
- Administer medications accurately and document according to policy
- Perform thorough assessments and communicate changes to the care team
- Maintain timely, clear charting in the electronic health record
- Support admissions, discharges and transfer processes as needed
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver safe, high-quality care
- Follow infection control, safety protocols and facility procedures consistently
Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — New Hampshire licensure required
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain promptly)
- Comfortable and experienced working 12+ hour night shifts
- Able to work every other weekend as part of the rotation
- Local candidates only (position is LOCAL ONLY)
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
Education
- LPN diploma, vocational nursing certificate, or equivalent practical nursing education
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and strong medication safety practices
- Skilled in vital sign monitoring, wound care basics and ADL support
- Accurate clinical documentation and charting in EHR systems
- Prioritization, triage and escalation skills during night coverage
- Teamwork, clear handoffs and effective communication with interdisciplinary staff
