Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered overnight nursing care in a rehab setting
• Assess patients, monitor changes in condition, and communicate updates to the care team
• Administer medications safely and accurately, following facility protocols
• Perform treatments, document care in the electronic medical record, and maintain clear, timely charting
• Support rehabilitation goals by assisting with therapy plans and collaborating with PT/OT staff
• Respond to emergencies and escalations with calm, competent clinical decision making
• Educate patients and families about care plans, safety, and discharge needs

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license, eligible to practice in New Mexico
• Current BLS/CPR certification required; advanced certifications welcome
• Comfortable working overnight shifts, specifically 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM on Fri/Sat/Sun
• Experience in rehabilitation, long-term care, or med-surg preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
• Successful completion of background check and required health screenings

Education

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or PN program)
• BSN preferred for Registered Nurses but not required for consideration

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and care planning with an emphasis on rehab goals
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Familiarity with long-term care and rehabilitation workflows
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management and prioritization during overnight shifts
• Basic electronic medical record navigation and charting accuracy
