Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate CT and X-ray equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images
- Follow established protocols and adjust imaging parameters to optimize patient care
- Perform fluoroscopic procedures as credentialed and assist physicians during studies
- Ensure radiation safety and infection control practices for patients and staff
- Provide compassionate patient positioning, education, and care throughout imaging
- Chart procedures accurately in the electronic health record (Cerner) and maintain documentation
- Collaborate with radiologists, nursing, and allied health teams to support efficient patient flow
- Participate in on-call rotations and float duties as scheduled
Qualifications
- Valid California Radiologic Technologist license (must have CA license)
- ARRT Certified - CT (ARRT-CT) and ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-R)
- Fluoroscopy credentialing/authorization as required by facility
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Minimum 2 years of CT and X-ray technologist experience (as stated)
- Comfortable with call responsibilities and floating between assignments
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven competence in CT imaging protocols and image acquisition
- Skilled in diagnostic X-ray and fluoroscopy procedures
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic charting systems
- Strong patient positioning and radiation safety practices
- Clear communication and teamwork in acute care settings
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
