Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias to keep patients safe and stable
- Start and maintain IVs, manage peripheral, central and PICC lines with confidence
- Perform phlebotomy and manage blood product administration per policy
- Provide advanced respiratory support including HFNC, CPAP/BIPAP and tracheostomy care
- Interpret arterial blood gases and support patients on oxygen therapies
- Follow heparin and IV insulin protocols and manage cardiac/vasoactive drips as directed
- Respond promptly as part of Rapid Response and Code teams to escalate care when needed
- Deliver compassionate wound care and support isolation precautions to protect patients
- Document accurately in EPIC and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
- Float to equivalent or lower acuity units across campuses as staffing needs require
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license (state of practice)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience; 1 year solid step-down/PCU experience acceptable
- BLS and ACLS required prior to start
- EPIC charting experience required
- NIHSS and procedural sedation monitoring experience preferred
- Ability and willingness to float to different units and campuses within the organization
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required per facility guideline
- Comfortable working with adult and geriatric patient populations in a fast-paced PCU/step-down environment
Education
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Nursing diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) accepted
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- IV therapy, IV starts and peripheral/central/PICC line care
- Phlebotomy and blood product administration
- Arterial line management and ABG interpretation
- Respiratory support: HFNC, CPAP/BIPAP, non-invasive airway management and tracheostomy care
- Familiarity with heparin and insulin protocols and titration principles
- Experience with wound care, chest tube management, and other PCU procedures
- Strong EPIC documentation skills and clear interdisciplinary communication
- Comfortable with rapid response/code team protocols and emergency interventions
- Ability to work independently during night shifts and prioritize patient safety
