Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents with dignity and respect
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately per facility protocols
- Monitor resident condition, document changes, and escalate concerns promptly
- Support activities of daily living and promote independence whenever possible
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and follow individualized care plans
- Provide clear, timely communication with residents, families, and fellow staff
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — New Mexico required
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable working rotating night shifts and weekends
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a patient-centered approach
Education
- Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent (LPN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Basic wound care and infection control principles
- Familiarity with electronic medical records/charting
- Ability to assess and report changes in resident condition
- Teamwork, time management, and effective communication skills
