Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients, focusing on safety and dignity
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Perform routine assessments, monitor vital signs, and report changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and interdisciplinary teams to support care plans
• Assist with activities of daily living and promote patient independence
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient record and follow facility policies
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up instructions

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico (or eligible to obtain)
• BLS/CPR certification required; additional certifications a plus
• Prior clinical experience in a facility setting preferred
• Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations per facility policy
• Strong communication skills and a patient-focused attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program
• High school diploma or GED

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and basic nursing procedures
• Patient assessment, vital sign monitoring, and clinical documentation
• Familiarity with standard infection control practices
• Comfortable working in an interdisciplinary team and following care plans
• Time management, organization, and the ability to prioritize patient needs
• Basic EHR/charting skills and attention to accurate documentation
