Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to residents during the overnight shift, focusing on safety and comfort
- Administer medications and document medication administration accurately and timely
- Perform focused patient assessments and monitor vital signs, reporting changes to the care team
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and communicate handoffs clearly at shift change
- Maintain accurate, thorough documentation in the resident record and the facility EMR
- Respond to urgent patient needs and support emergency interventions as required
- Support admissions, discharges, and transfers during your shift with professionalism
- Promote infection prevention practices and maintain a safe, clean care environment
Qualifications
- Active LPN or RN license in New Hampshire (must be current and in good standing)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Comfortable working a night shift schedule and managing priorities independently
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with a resident-centered approach
- Available for a local 9-week assignment starting 2026-02-02 through 2026-03-30
Education
- LPN: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- RN: Graduate of an accredited associate or bachelor nursing program (ADN or BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Resident assessment, vital signs monitoring, and early recognition of change in condition
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
- Infection control standards and safe patient handling
- Time management, prioritization, and effective shift handoff communication
- Team collaboration and working with nursing assistants and allied staff
