Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms to detect changes early and act decisively
- Perform thorough patient assessments and implement appropriate nursing interventions
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately
- Coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members for timely patient care
- Provide compassionate patient and family education during the hospitalization
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
Qualifications
- Active California RN license required
- Telemetry experience (core skill) and comfort working in a fast-paced monitoring environment
- Current BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and provide reliable per-diem coverage
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Cardiac rhythm recognition and telemetry monitoring
- Patient assessment and acute care nursing skills
- IV therapy and medication administration best practices
- Effective communication with patients, families, and the care team
- Accurate electronic health record documentation
