Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to critically ill and injured patients
• Perform rapid triage and thorough patient assessments to prioritize care
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to protocols
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and the care team to coordinate efficient patient flow
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes clearly in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on conditions, procedures, and discharge instructions with empathy
• Respond effectively to emergent situations, including stabilization and transfer as needed

Qualifications

• Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Previous emergency room or acute care nursing experience preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and emergency prioritization skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or equivalent
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in emergency triage, patient assessment, and acute care interventions
• Familiarity with common ER equipment and monitoring devices
• Experience with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
• Skilled in medication administration, IV therapy, and wound care
• Excellent communication and teamwork in high-stress situations
• Ability to prioritize multiple patients and tasks effectively
