Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, instruments and equipment for orthopedic and general surgical cases with accuracy and urgency
• Assist surgeons during procedures by anticipating instrument needs and maintaining sterile technique
• Manage instrument counts, sterile field integrity, and documentation in Meditech EMR
• Support trauma and Level I activations when needed, responding calmly under pressure
• Collaborate closely with RNs, PCTs and the trauma team to deliver seamless perioperative care
• Participate in call rotations and adapt to day/evening shift changes while upholding high standards

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
• NBSTA and DORA certifications required (candidates without these will not be considered)
• Minimum ~2 years OR / surgical technology experience (experience field lists 2)
• Must have Orthopedic/Joint surgical experience
• Flexibility for day/evening shifts and on-call responsibilities
• Strong self-direction, accountability and ability to work as part of a high-performing team

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep familiarity with Operating Room (OR) procedures and sterile technique
• Experience with orthopedic procedures and joint cases
• Comfortable using Meditech EMR for perioperative documentation
• Trauma experience (Level I preferred) is a strong plus
• Excellent teamwork, communication skills and situational awareness
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy 14-OR environment
