Roles & Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage movement dysfunction to restore and maintain patients' physical function
• Develop and implement individualized therapeutic exercise and treatment plans
• Prevent progression of impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities through targeted care
• Use and maintain physical therapy equipment to ensure patient safety and effective treatment
• Prepare clear patient care records and professional reports to support continuity of care
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary medical team
• Evaluate utilization statistics and other data to inform care decisions and improve outcomes
• Adhere to department policies, service standards, dress code, and documented physical and mental requirements

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Montana (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (required)
• Prior experience within the specific scope of practice preferred
• Ability to operate office equipment and computer terminals; dexterity to use keyboard and numeric keypad
• Capacity to work on a computer terminal for uninterrupted periods up to four hours
• Positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and the ability to manage changing patient needs

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited Physical Therapy program (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of physical therapy principles, practices, standards, and techniques
• Skill in writing reports, preparing correspondence, and keeping accurate patient care records
• Ability to use and maintain physical therapy equipment safely
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with patients and medical staff
• Ability to identify problems and recommend appropriate resolutions
