Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert, compassionate critical care to burn, trauma, and surgical ICU patients
• Manage high-acuity patient care with a 2:1 ICU patient ratio and appropriate interventions
• Perform and manage wound care, respond to codes, and support EVD and MTP protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in Meditech EMR
• Use critical thinking and strong communication to prioritize care and escalate changes in patient condition
• Assist with unit-level duties including handoffs, charge support, and mentorship of colleagues

Qualifications

• Active RN license (required)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (experience field indicates '1') — ICU experience is expected
• Must have trauma, burn, or surgical ICU experience (candidates without these skills will not be considered)
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• BSN preferred
• CCRN preferred
• Comfortable floating to MSICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU or PCU as needed

Education

• Active RN license required
• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with Critical Care Equipment and managing high-acuity devices
• Experience with Meditech EMR for timely documentation
• Skilled in wound care, code response, external ventricular drain (EVD) management, and massive transfusion protocols (MTP)
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based ICU environment
• Understanding of ICU patient ratios and prioritization for 2:1 care
