Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill patients in the NVICU
- Monitor and assess complex patient conditions, intervening quickly when needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Operate and manage specialized ICU equipment and continuous monitoring systems
- Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge needs
- Support unit workflows and assist in rapid response or code situations
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — state-specific license to be confirmed
- Minimum 1 year of relevant ICU/NVICU nursing experience (as stated in the posting)
- BLS required; ACLS and/or specialty ICU certifications preferred
- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced critical care team
- Current immunizations and required facility onboarding completed prior to start
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of ICU-level patient assessment and interventions
- Familiarity with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Proficiency documenting care in electronic medical records
- Ability to prioritize tasks under pressure and communicate clearly with teams
- Comfort working with complex infusion devices and continuous monitoring
