Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care across assigned shifts
- Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
- Document care in the electronic health record clearly and timely
- Educate patients and families on condition management and discharge instructions
- Support unit flow by assisting with admissions, transfers, and discharges
Qualifications
- Current and active RN license in the state of California
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred when applicable
- Previous acute care or med-surg nursing experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently on per-diem assignments and adapt quickly to unit needs
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of patient assessment and nursing fundamentals
- Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
- Comfortable using electronic health record systems for documentation
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients safely
