Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' communication and swallowing abilities using evidence-based assessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that improve function and quality of life
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians to coordinate holistic care
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge plans accurately and timely
• Provide education and training to patients, families, and care teams to support carryover
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent graduate-level credential
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred and/or current state Speech-Language Pathology license (California license required or must be eligible to obtain prior to start)
• Active professional liability coverage (typical for travel clinicians)
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning experience; prior experience in post-acute or rehabilitation settings is a plus
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a patient-centered approach

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in clinical assessment for speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapy techniques and augmentative/alternative communication (AAC)
• Proficient documentation and electronic medical record use
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and educate caregivers effectively
• Strong organizational skills and adaptability in fast-paced clinical environments
