Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
- Monitor and document patient condition and report changes to nursing staff
- Assist with feeding, toileting, and basic comfort measures to support patient dignity
- Support safe patient transfers and maintain a clean, hazard-free environment
- Collaborate with nurses and care team to deliver reliable, person-centered care
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
- Active state CNA license where required
- Prior experience in a clinical or long-term care setting preferred
- Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
Education
- High school diploma or GED required; CNA certification and training completed
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with ADLs (activities of daily living) and safe transfer techniques
- Comfortable with patient documentation and basic charting
- Ability to work independently on per diem shifts and collaborate with care teams
- Good infection control practices and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow direction from nursing staff
