Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform interventional radiology procedures with precision and adherence to sterile technique
• Operate and optimize fluoroscopy and imaging equipment to support clinicians during cases
• Prepare the cath and EP labs for procedures, ensuring instruments and imaging supplies are ready
• Monitor patient status during procedures and assist with safe patient positioning and transport
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and techs to deliver efficient, high-quality care
• Maintain strict radiation safety practices and document exposures as required
• Respond to on-call activations professionally and promptly when required

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered California Radiologic Technologist license (required)
• Current Fluoro Tech license (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience working in Cath and EP labs (required)
• Call shift experience preferred; ability to participate in on-call rotation
• Structural Heart experience is a plus but not required

Education

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (Associate degree or equivalent preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Fluoroscopy operation and safety
• Interventional Radiology (IR) procedural workflow
• Cath lab and EP lab equipment familiarity
• Sterile technique and procedural prep
• Patient monitoring and basic life support during procedures
• Strong communication and teamwork in fast-paced procedural settings
• Attention to detail for documentation and regulatory compliance
