Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care for residents with dignity and respect
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Take and document vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers and positioning to prevent falls and promote comfort
• Maintain clean, organized resident spaces and follow infection control practices
• Communicate kindly and clearly with residents, families, and the care team

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Active state CNA license for New Mexico or eligible to obtain one
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in resident-centered care
• Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to changing staffing needs

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing procedures and patient care techniques
• Skill in taking vital signs, measuring intake/output, and reporting observations
• Familiarity with infection control standards and safe patient handling
• Comfortable documenting care accurately in charts or electronic records
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong teamwork skills
