Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents in long-term care
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
• Monitor and document resident conditions, reporting changes to the care team
• Assist with activities of daily living and promote resident dignity and independence
• Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Support a safe environment by following facility policies, infection control, and safety protocols
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with residents and families about care plans and needs

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
• Experience or interest in long-term care environments preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Demonstrated strong communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable working evening shifts and adapting to resident-focused schedules

Education

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nurse/LPN program
• High school diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid medication administration and documentation skills
• Knowledge of long-term care practices and resident-centered care
• Ability to assess changes in resident condition and escalate appropriately
• Good time management and prioritization during busy evening shifts
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
