Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers and ambulation to promote independence
• Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output and patient status accurately
• Support the nursing team by completing tasks delegated by RNs/LPNs and reporting changes promptly
• Maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with residents, families and the interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification (VT license or eligible to obtain)
• Prior experience as an LNA preferred but new grads with certification welcome to apply
• Must have reliable personal transportation (public transit is limited in this area)
• Ability to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings
• Strong interpersonal skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude

Education

• LNA certification (state-required)
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care
• Accurate documentation and charting practices
• Basic knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
• Good communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced care setting
• Ability to follow care plans and delegate instructions from nursing staff
