Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Hours per Week: 35

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Implement customized treatment plans to help patients regain mobility and independence
Assist physical therapists in delivering therapeutic exercises and modalities
Monitor patient progress and document treatments accurately
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment

Qualifications

Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Maine (or compact eligible)
Associate's degree from an accredited PTA program
Current BLS/CPR certification
Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift and transfer patients safely
Previous experience in a skilled nursing or outpatient setting is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of therapeutic exercise techniques and modalities
Understanding of rehabilitation principles and patient safety
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Compassionate and patient-focused approach
