Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, feeding, and hygiene assistance
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff promptly
Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility to promote independence
Maintain accurate documentation of care and communicate effectively with the care team
Support a clean, safe environment by following infection control protocols
Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication
Participate in shift handoffs to ensure continuity and high-quality patient care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in the state of New Mexico
Hands-on patient care experience preferred but new CNAs are welcome to apply
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility health requirements
Strong communication skills and a teamwork-first attitude
Basic ability to lift and assist patients per facility policy

Education

High school diploma or equivalent and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamental patient care skills: ADLs, ambulation, and transfer assistance
Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
Infection prevention and standard precautions
Time management and reliable attendance for scheduled shifts
Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
Comfortable working in an overnight/night shift care environment
