Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert bedside respiratory care for MSICU and CVICU patients, including ventilator management
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and interpret results to guide treatment
• Manage and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators (PB840, PB980, Hamilton C1, MR1) and BiPAP V60 devices
• Assist with bedside bronchoscopy and related airway procedures safely and effectively
• Document assessments and interventions accurately using Meditech
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary ICU team to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about respiratory care plans and equipment

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant respiratory therapy experience (ICU experience preferred)
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Proven ability to manage mechanical ventilation and perform ABGs
• Comfortable performing bedside bronchoscopy and advanced airway care
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Ability to function independently and adapt to a fast-paced critical care unit
• Previous travel experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical ventilation and ventilator management
• Hands-on experience with PB840, PB980, Hamilton C1, MR1 and BiPAP V60
• Skilled in arterial blood gas interpretation (ABG)
• Experienced in bedside bronchoscopy procedures
• Proficient with Meditech or similar electronic health record systems
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
