Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance function
• Monitor patient progress and modify plans of care to achieve measurable outcomes
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and rehab team members to coordinate excellent care
• Document assessments, treatments, and discharge plans accurately and timely
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and strategies for long-term recovery

Qualifications

• Active California Physical Therapy license or eligibility to obtain one quickly
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Experience in inpatient or skilled nursing/rehab settings preferred
• Comfort working a seven-day coverage model (schedule includes Sun–Sat)
• Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred, or Bachelor's/Master's in Physical Therapy acceptable

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in musculoskeletal and functional mobility assessment
• Proficient in developing therapeutic exercise and gait training programs
• Ability to work with complex, medically fragile patients and adapt treatments
• Solid documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Team-oriented mindset with excellent patient and family education ability
