Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality direct patient care with compassion and attention to detail
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document all care accurately
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes promptly to the care team
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and improve outcomes
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to facility policies and regulatory standards
• Support unit flow by assisting with admissions, transfers, and timely documentation

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license (ability to obtain Maine licensure prior to start)
• Travel nursing experience preferred and ability to adapt quickly to new settings
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications (ACLS, PALS) a plus
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screenings
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing or practical nursing program (ADN/BSN/PN)
• Associate degree, diploma, or higher in nursing from an accredited institution

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and safe medication administration
• IV therapy and wound care fundamentals (as applicable to role)
• Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation and charting accuracy
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and maintain composure in fast-paced settings
• Collaborative communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
