Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality dialysis care to adult and/or pediatric patients
• Assess patients before, during, and after treatments and adjust care plans accordingly
• Monitor vascular access and manage catheter/AV fistula care with vigilance
• Document treatments, vitals, and patient responses accurately in the medical record
• Collaborate with nephrology teams and interdisciplinary staff to optimize outcomes
• Educate patients and families about dialysis procedures, home care, and safety
• Maintain strict infection control and safety standards for all procedures

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) status — required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (as listed in the job details)
• Dialysis experience — essential for this specialty role
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — preferred/commonly required; facility will confirm
• Strong clinical judgment, patient advocacy skills, and teamwork mindset

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical knowledge of dialysis therapies and equipment
• Patient assessment and fluid/electrolyte management
• Vascular access care and complication recognition
• Accurate clinical documentation and EHR familiarity
• Infection prevention and adherence to safety protocols
• Clear communication and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical setting
