Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical function and develop individualized treatment plans that drive recovery
• Deliver hands-on therapy and therapeutic exercise to improve mobility, strength, and independence
• Document progress clearly and timely to ensure continuity of care and measurable outcomes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create coordinated, patient-centered care plans
• Educate patients and families on home programs and injury prevention for long-term wellness
• Monitor and modify treatments based on patient response, safety, and goals
• Support discharge planning and provide clear recommendations for ongoing care

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree preferred
• Licensed Physical Therapist in California or eligible for CA licensure
• BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain)
• Experience in acute care or rehabilitation settings preferred; enthusiastic new graduates welcome to apply
• Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work a daily schedule that includes weekends

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master’s or Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy may be considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, and mobility assistance
• Comfortable with documentation in electronic medical records and timely clinical charting
• Knowledge of discharge planning and community resource coordination
• Ability to prioritize caseloads and manage time effectively
• Strong patient education and motivational skills to encourage adherence
• Collaborative approach to working with nursing, physicians, and rehab team members
