Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and toileting with compassion and respect
• Monitor and record vital signs and changes in condition accurately and promptly
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistance devices
• Communicate observations and changes to the nursing team to ensure excellent continuity of care
• Help create a warm, home-like environment by engaging residents in conversation and supporting social activities
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols and facility policies at all times

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Active/state-appropriate CNA documentation and ability to meet facility compliance requirements
• Comfortable working evening and overnight hours as part of a per diem schedule
• Reliable, patient-focused attitude and strong communication skills
• Previous long-term care or rehab experience is a plus but not required

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on resident care and ADL support
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
• Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
• Strong teamwork, communication and bedside manner
• Ability to follow care plans and report concerns clearly
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
