Location: Belen, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (varied days), 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM NOC (overnight/night shift)

Hours per Week: 38

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate bedside care to residents, ensuring dignity and comfort
Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
Support safe mobility and use proper body mechanics when assisting patients
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in resident charts
Communicate clearly with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary team members
Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean care environment

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state-approved)
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Current immunizations and compliance with facility health requirements
Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required
Comfort working overnight shifts and flexibility for per diem scheduling
Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

CNA certification (required)
High school diploma or GED (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in basic patient care and ADLs with attention to safety
Knowledge of vital sign measurement and documentation
Familiarity with infection control standards and PPE use
Ability to follow care plans and communicate observations clearly
Teamwork, time management, and the ability to prioritize tasks
