Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Hours per Week: 35

Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist occupational therapists in implementing personalized treatment plans for residents
Help patients regain independence through therapeutic activities and exercises
Document progress and adjust interventions in collaboration with the therapy team
Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques and home safety
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment

Qualifications

Current Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license in New Mexico
Willing to obtain additional state licenses as needed for travel assignments
Comfortable working with geriatric populations in a skilled nursing setting
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Education

Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with patients and team members
Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and adaptive equipment
Time management and organizational abilities to handle a busy caseload
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
