Shift Type: 4 10-hour shifts per week, Day Shift, with shared on-call rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care in the SSSU/PACU, including pre-operative, post-anesthesia, and phase II recovery
Float to outpatient services areas such as Day Surgery, Endoscopy Lab, Pre-operative Clinic, and conscious sedation for special procedures
Conduct nursing assessments and peri-operative education for patients and families
Monitor and recognize post-anesthesia and post-operative complications, intervening promptly
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
Participate in on-call rotation to support emergency and after-hours cases

Qualifications

Active RN license in Washington State (must be currently active)
Minimum 2 years of experience in peri-operative, PACU, or similar settings
Current ACLS, BLS/BCLS, and PALS certifications
Strong skills in pre-operative, PACU, and phase II care
Ability to work variable schedules and participate in on-call rotation

Expert nursing assessment and critical thinking

Conscious sedation monitoring and support
Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments
