Ultrasound Technician - General and OBGYN

Location: Dodge City, Kansas

Shift Type: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM (10-hour shifts) or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (8-hour shifts), with rotating on-call (weekdays and weekends)

Candidate Pay Rate: $79.47 - $59.5 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform ultrasound exams including general abdomen, OBGYN, small parts, and lower extremity dopplers
Capture high-quality diagnostic images using GE and Phillips equipment
Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to ensure accurate interpretations
Maintain patient comfort and safety throughout procedures
Document and manage patient records in Epic and Synapse
Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain proper badge usage

Qualifications

Certification by ARDMS (RDMS, RDCS, or RVT) required
Specialty certification in OB, AB, and General (RDMS) required
Current BLS (AHA) certification required
At least 1 year of experience in general, OBGYN, and small parts ultrasound
Comfortable using Epic EMR and Synapse PACS systems
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in general abdomen, OBGYN, small parts, and lower extremity dopplers
Strong understanding of anatomy and pathology
Excellent patient communication and bedside manner
Knowledge of radiation safety and ALARA principles
Competent with GE and Phillips ultrasound machines
