Location: Carbondale, Illinois

Start Date: 07-27-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 5-8 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, with call approximately 10 days per month (including weekends), 30-minute call response time

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert surgical assistance during cardiac bypass, valve replacements, and robotic lung cases
Scrub in on general OR cases as needed to support the team
Maintain strict sterile technique throughout all procedures
Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia for optimal patient outcomes
Respond promptly to call within 30 minutes, ensuring continuity of care

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience as a CVOR Tech
Active state license in Illinois (must be currently active)
Proven experience scrubbing cardiac bypass, valve replacements, and robotic lung cases
Willingness to scrub general OR cases when CVOR volume permits
Proficiency with Point Click EMR system
Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes

Knowledge & Skills

Expert knowledge of sterile technique and OR protocols
Strong understanding of cardiovascular surgical procedures
Proficient in Point Click EMR
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
