Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform routine and moderately complex lab testing in chemistry, hematology, coagulation, and more
• Ensure accurate, timely results that directly impact patient care
• Operate and troubleshoot lab analyzers to keep testing running smoothly
• Collect specimens including venipuncture and capillary draws with compassion
• Run daily quality control and document corrective actions
• Collaborate with nurses and providers for efficient workflow
• Manage specimen handling, processing, and routing according to CLIA standards
• Monitor supplies and assist with ordering to prevent shortages

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field required
• Prior clinical lab experience required to work independently on solo shifts
• National registered Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) required
• BLS certification and training required
• ASCP certification preferred
• Must meet all CLIA 88 guidelines

Education

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field

• Strong understanding of lab methodologies and instrumentation
• Ability to analyze complex data and troubleshoot issues
• Proficiency with lab information systems and electronic health records
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments
• Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Commitment to patient safety and confidentiality
• Availability for on-call emergency lab services
