Location: Belen, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem overnight, 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM NOC (overnight). Days of week vary based on per-diem scheduling

Hours per Week: 38

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care to residents, supporting dignity and independence
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Perform safe patient transfers and ambulation support with proper body mechanics
Monitor and report changes in condition to the nursing team in a timely manner
Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with interdisciplinary staff
Support a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in New Mexico (required)
Valid CPR/BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy
Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to per-diem scheduling
Pass a background check and meet facility immunization or health screening requirements
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a caring bedside manner

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an approved CNA program and current state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in basic patient care tasks and activities of daily living
Comfortable taking and recording vital signs accurately
Knowledge of infection control practices and safety procedures
Skilled in safe transfer techniques and use of assistive devices
Good documentation habits and ability to communicate observations clearly
