Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight shifts
• Perform thorough assessments and develop timely care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses in the medical record
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications and follow-up

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license (eligible to practice in Maine)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Comfortable working independently during overnight/per diem shifts
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; compassionate bedside manner

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN for RNs, diploma/certificate for LPNs)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Medication administration and IV/line familiarity as appropriate
• Proficient with electronic medical records and charting
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
• Ability to prioritize care in a fast-paced overnight environment
