Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate nursing care during overnight hours
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings clearly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Respond to emergent situations and escalate concerns to the care team
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members and on-call providers
• Educate patients and families in clear, empathetic language
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Demonstrated clinical judgment and strong assessment skills
• Comfortable working independently during overnight shifts
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Prior experience in acute care, community health, or related settings preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, triage, and monitoring
• Proficient with medication administration and IV therapy basics
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
• Strong infection prevention and safety practices
• Able to de-escalate and manage challenging situations calmly
• Good time management and prioritization during busy shifts
