Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and continuously monitor critically ill patients to detect changes quickly
• Administer medications, titrate drips and manage ventilators with precision
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and the care team for coordinated care
• Perform accurate, timely documentation and handoffs to support patient safety
• Provide compassionate education and support to patients and families during stressful times
• Respond decisively to emergencies and participate in codes and rapid responses

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in California
• Critical care/ICU experience preferred; per-diem clinicians welcome
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage high-acuity patients and complex equipment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care assessment and clinical decision-making
• Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Familiarity with central lines, arterial lines and infusion therapy
• Accurate medication administration and titration of vasoactive drips
• Clear patient/family communication and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Good documentation practices and comfort learning facility EMR systems
