Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide attentive telemetry monitoring and deliver high-quality bedside nursing during the assigned shift
- Assess patient status, document findings, and communicate changes promptly to the care team
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols
- Perform accurate telemetry interpretation and escalate abnormal rhythms as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and safe handoffs
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans to support recovery
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (required)
- Experience working in telemetry nursing (Telemtry) — comfortable with cardiac monitoring
- Availability to work per diem assignments on the scheduled date(s)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and familiarity with cardiac rhythm patterns
- Patient assessment and clinical decision-making
- Accurate electronic medical record documentation
- Safe medication administration and basic IV therapy knowledge
