Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes promptly to the care team
- Support safe patient transfers and mobility with proper body mechanics
- Assist with basic clinical tasks under nurse delegation and ensure accurate documentation
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and team members
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification or state equivalent required
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Comfortable with per diem/variable scheduling and single-day assignments
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered attitude
Education
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamentals of patient care and safe transfer techniques
- Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
- Infection control principles and proper PPE use
- Basic electronic charting or willingness to learn facility documentation
- Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy setting
- Clear communication and teamwork in a healthcare environment
