Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, evaluate, and revise individualized plans of care for assigned patients and families
• Provide safe, high-quality patient care while delegating and supervising nursing care as appropriate
• Perform thorough patient assessments and adjust care plans based on clinical findings
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to promote continuity of care
• Ensure documentation is accurate, timely, and reflects patient progress and care decisions
• Support and mentor other nursing staff through delegation, oversight, and clear communication

Qualifications

• Active, verifiable Registered Nurse license (license/certificate verification required)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Successful completion of the VHC EKG exam
• Must meet facility health and screening requirements (COVID-19 vaccine, drug screen, TB testing, immunizations such as MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, influenza)
• Fit testing and any additional site-specific health clearances

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong nursing skills in care planning and patient assessment
• Ability to delegate, supervise, and support direct-care staff effectively
• Competence with EKG interpretation as validated by VHC testing
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Clinical judgment that supports high-quality, evidence-based care
