Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care to residents in the rehab/long-term care setting
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the care team promptly
- Collaborate with RNs and interdisciplinary staff to implement individualized care plans
- Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and advocate for resident dignity and comfort
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential — New Mexico license preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain upon hire)
- Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or similar setting preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
- Reliable, local candidate (this is a local-only assignment)
Education
- LPN diploma or certificate from an accredited program
- High school diploma or GED
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of medication administration and documentation
- Skilled in patient assessment and monitoring vital signs
- Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
- Clear communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
- Comfortable using electronic medical records and charting systems
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced night-shift environment
