Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
• Assist residents with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and lifting techniques
• Take and record vital signs, weight, and other routine observations accurately
• Support dining and feeding assistance while promoting resident dignity and independence
• Document resident care and changes in condition clearly and promptly
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, families, and interdisciplinary team to support excellent resident outcomes
• Follow infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required) — state registration or licensure as applicable
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or obtained upon hire)
• Comfortable with 12+ hour day shift and able to perform physical aspects of the role
• Passion for resident-centered care, strong communication skills, and a reliable attendance record
• Willingness to complete facility onboarding, background checks, and health screenings

Education

• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on resident care and ADL assistance
• Basic clinical skills: taking vitals, weight, simple observations
• Strong documentation and charting habits
• Infection prevention and safe handling techniques
• Teamwork, empathy, and clear communication with residents and staff
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
