Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per facility policy
- Perform focused patient assessments and communicate changes to the care team
- Coordinate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to support individualized care plans
- Maintain clear, timely charting and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
- Support a safe, clean environment and assist with resident comfort and activities
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license valid in New Mexico
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain if required by facility
- Comfortable working 12.5-hour day shifts on a Sunday–Tuesday schedule
- Strong communication skills and a team-centered attitude
- Ability to complete required facility onboarding and health screenings
Education
- Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent (LPN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical skills in medication administration and basic patient assessment
- Good documentation practices and familiarity with electronic charting or paper charts
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care environment
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff
- Basic infection control practices and safety awareness
